What Are We Doing is provided by JAMSoft Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the What Are We Doing app, its widget, and related shortcuts.

Information We Process

Depending on how you use the app, we may process your device location if you allow location access, areas you search or save, recommendation preferences such as mood, interests, budget, time of day, and similar settings, shortlist items, plan history, outing details, optional notes, and feedback you give inside the app, calendar event details if you choose to add a plan to your calendar, reminder details if you choose to schedule notifications, and subscription status information provided by Apple.

How We Use Information

We use this information to show nearby recommendations and local event or festival suggestions, save your preferences and plans, support widgets, shortcuts, and quick actions, let you create reminders and calendar entries when you choose, verify subscription access, and improve or refine recommendation ranking.

Third-Party Services

Some app features rely on third-party services. When those features are used, information may be shared with those providers as needed to operate the feature.

These may include Apple services such as MapKit, geocoding, StoreKit, Calendar, notifications, widgets, and shortcuts, Firebase / Google services for app configuration and AI-powered recommendation refinement, and event sources such as Eventbrite and AllEvents for festival and event listings.

These providers may receive technical information such as IP address, device or request information, and the location-related or recommendation-related data needed to complete a request.

Local Storage

Much of the data created in the app, including saved areas, shortlist items, plan history, and cached recommendations, is stored locally on your device. Some information may also be stored in a shared app group so the widget can display current plan information.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not use the app for targeted advertising.

If you choose to share a plan, copy a share code, open an external link, place a call, add an event to your calendar, or set a reminder, the information involved will be handled by the destination app, service, or platform you choose to use.

Your Choices

You can turn location access on or off in device settings, use the app with a manually selected area instead of live location, decline notification or calendar permissions, manage subscriptions through Apple, and delete app data by removing saved items in the app or uninstalling the app.

Data Retention

Information stored locally on your device generally remains there until you delete it, replace it, or remove the app. Information processed by third-party providers is subject to their own retention practices and privacy policies.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will post the updated version here and revise the Effective Date above.
