Jamsoft Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in Shoot.Your.Shot, our iOS application available on the Apple App Store.

Information We Do Not Collect

Shoot.Your.Shot does not require you to create an account. We do not ask you to provide your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, or account login information.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs. We do not use App Tracking Transparency to track you across apps or websites. The app code reviewed does not include Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics.

Photos, Selfies, and Generated Headshots

Shoot.Your.Shot is an AI headshot generation app. To use the app, you may choose a selfie from your photo library or capture a new selfie using your camera.

When you choose to generate a headshot, your selected or captured selfie is uploaded to our image generation provider through Firebase AI Logic using Google AI/Gemini services. The app also sends the style, format, and retouching instructions needed to generate your requested headshot.

Your selfie is processed for the purpose of generating the headshot you requested. We do not use your selfie to create a user account, identify you, or create a biometric identifier. However, photos of faces may be considered personal information in some jurisdictions.

Generated headshots are returned to the app and stored locally on your device unless you delete them or remove the app. The app also stores the original selfie associated with generated headshots in local app storage so your history and before/after views can work.

Local Device Storage

The app stores certain information locally on your device, including:

Generated headshot history.

Original selfies associated with generated headshots.

Selected style, export format, saved status, quality score, and generation date.

Your privacy notice acceptance preference.

Your credit balance.

The app stores generated images and history in the app’s local Application Support storage. The app applies iOS file protection to this local storage. Credit balances are stored in the iOS Keychain when available, with a UserDefaults fallback.

We do not operate a separate Jamsoft account database for this app.

Camera and Photo Library Access

The app may request camera access when you choose to capture a selfie.

The app may request photo library access when you choose a selfie from your library.

The app may request permission to add photos to your library when you choose to save generated headshots to Photos.

The app accesses your camera or photo library only when you choose to use those features.

Sharing, Copying, and Saving

When you choose to save a generated headshot, the app writes the image to your Apple Photos library.

When you choose to copy a generated headshot, the app places the image on the system pasteboard.

When you choose to share generated headshots, the app creates temporary export files and presents the iOS share sheet. The destination you choose in the share sheet is controlled by Apple and the selected third-party app or service.

Purchases and Credits

Shoot.Your.Shot uses Apple StoreKit for consumable in-app purchases of credit packs. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.

We do not receive your full payment card number or Apple ID credentials. Apple may provide transaction-related information needed to validate purchases and deliver credits. Your use of App Store purchases is also governed by Apple’s terms and privacy policy.

Firebase, Google AI, and Remote Configuration

The app uses Firebase Core, Firebase App Check, Firebase Remote Config, and Firebase AI Logic.

Firebase Remote Config is used to provide app configuration, including available AI model and style catalog settings.

Firebase App Check helps protect backend access by verifying that requests come from legitimate app instances. This may involve app, device, and integrity-related technical data handled by Firebase, Google, and Apple DeviceCheck.

Firebase AI Logic and Google AI/Gemini services process the selfie and prompt information you submit when generating headshots.

These services may process technical information such as IP address, app identifiers, request metadata, device/app integrity tokens, and service diagnostic data as needed to provide, secure, and improve their services. Their handling of information is subject to Google/Firebase privacy terms and policies.

Preview Images from Unsplash

The app may load style preview images from Unsplash. When these preview images load, Unsplash may receive standard request information such as your IP address, device/browser request metadata, and image URL requested. These preview images are used for app display purposes only.

No iCloud Sync

The current app code reviewed does not use iCloud or CloudKit to sync your generated headshots or app data. Your generated headshot history is stored locally on your device unless you choose to share, copy, save, or otherwise export it.

Analytics and Advertising

The app code reviewed does not include analytics event tracking, advertising networks, or third-party ad SDKs.

We do not use the app to serve personalized ads.

Children’s Privacy

Shoot.Your.Shot is not intended for children under the age of 13, or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction. The app is designed for professional headshot generation and should not be used to upload images of children without appropriate parental or legal consent.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data Retention

Generated headshots, original selfies associated with generated headshots, and related history remain stored locally on your device until you delete them in the app, delete the app, or clear the device data.

Temporary export files may be created when you share headshots through the iOS share sheet.

Information processed by Apple, Firebase, Google, or Unsplash is handled according to those providers’ applicable terms, privacy policies, and retention practices.

Your Choices

You can choose not to grant camera or photo library access.

You can delete generated headshots from the app’s history.

You can delete the app to remove locally stored app data from your device, subject to normal iOS behavior.

You can manage App Store purchases through your Apple account.

You can choose not to generate a headshot if you do not want your selfie processed by the AI provider.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be effective when the updated Privacy Policy is posted or otherwise made available.
