Privacy Policy for Ca.dence by Jamsoft Inc.

Jamsoft Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled in Ca.dence (the “App”), including its supported iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, widget, and extension features. Features vary by device and operating system.

1. Our Approach to Privacy

Ca.dence does not require a Jamsoft account. The App processes information to help you organize your schedule and everyday life. Your personal planning content is stored on your devices and, where applicable, handled through the Apple services and optional sharing features described in this policy.

We do not send your personal planning content to a Jamsoft-operated server, sell your personal information, or use it for targeted advertising. The App does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

If you contact us for support, we receive the information you choose to provide.

2. Calendar, Reminders, and Personal Content

With your permission, Ca.dence accesses Apple Calendar and Reminders to display your day, suggest plans, and perform actions you request. This may include event and reminder titles, dates, times, notes, locations, calendar or list information, and participant information available in your calendar records.

Ca.dence also stores information you enter or create through the App, such as goals, routines, life-admin items, people and birthdays, follow-ups, journal notes and moods, priorities, focus sessions, work history, and preferences. Local activity and completion history may be used to personalize suggestions and time estimates.

The People feature uses information you enter. Ca.dence does not request access to your Contacts address book.

Calendar and reminder records remain in the accounts you use with Apple’s apps. Their synchronization and sharing depend on those accounts and any shared calendars or lists you use.

3. iCloud Integration

Ca.dence uses Apple’s iCloud services to synchronize supported information across your personal Apple devices. The App’s iCloud sync setting is enabled by default and operates when the required iCloud account and services are available. You can disable it in the App’s settings.

Synced information may include preferences, saved places, priorities, planning links and settings, saved stories, goals, routines and their history, life-admin items, people, journal notes and moods, and work history.

Private synchronization uses your personal iCloud storage. Jamsoft does not receive a copy of that content on its own servers. Health readings and certain device-specific records, including local learning history, are excluded from the App’s synchronization.

Turning off Ca.dence’s iCloud sync does not disable synchronization performed separately by Calendar, Reminders, or other Apple services.

Apple’s handling of information is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.

4. Optional Household Sharing

Household sharing begins when you create or accept an invitation through Apple’s iCloud sharing system.

Life-admin items and routines you mark as shared, their completion information, and names or attribution included in those records become available to household participants. Apple’s sharing interface may also display participant identity information.

Your private journal, personal goals, Health readings, and other unshared records are not included in household sharing.

You can manage sharing or leave a household through the available controls. Stopping sharing does not necessarily erase copies another participant has already retained or exported.

5. Optional Health Access

On supported devices, Ca.dence requests read-only access to selected Apple Health information when you enable related features.

This may include sleep duration and exercise minutes to help tailor focus suggestions, and workout dates when you enable a goal that counts workouts. The App may retain sleep duration with local day records and workout dates for progress tracking.

These readings are processed locally and are excluded from Ca.dence’s private iCloud synchronization and household sharing. Ca.dence does not write information to Apple Health or use Health readings for advertising.

If you export your daily-life data, the export may include locally stored Health-derived information, such as sleep duration and workout dates.

You can change Health permissions in Apple’s settings. Revoking permission stops future access but does not automatically erase information previously stored by Ca.dence. Apple’s own Health storage, backup, and sharing settings are managed separately.

6. Location, Weather, and Travel

Weather features can use a place you select or, with your permission, your approximate current location. Ca.dence requests reduced location accuracy and rounds coordinates before using them for Apple’s place-name lookup and weather services.

Ca.dence does not build a history of your movements or synchronize your current-location readings through its iCloud sync.

Place searches, travel estimates, and departure alerts use Apple Maps services. Relevant search text, starting places, destinations, and, where needed, an event’s location and arrival time are sent to Apple to provide those results. Travel estimates use a starting place you choose.

Saved weather places and travel origins may be included in synced preferences. You can disable current-location access in system settings and select a place manually instead.

7. Voice, Images, and Shared Content

Voice capture uses your microphone when you start a capture session. Speech is transcribed on your device. Ca.dence does not save the audio recording or upload it for transcription. The resulting text appears in a form for you to review.

Apple may download speech models needed to support on-device transcription.

You can select images or explicitly share text, links, and images into Ca.dence to help prepare reminders or events. The photo picker provides access to the images you select rather than unrestricted access to your photo library.

Content you save is handled according to the storage and synchronization practices described in this policy.

8. Apple Intelligence

Supported planning, capture, search, personalization, and summarization features use Apple’s on-device models. These features process relevant information, such as your request, selected content, agenda information, or local activity summaries.

Ca.dence does not send these requests to a third-party AI provider or use them to train a Jamsoft AI model.

In the current version covered by this policy, AI news briefings also run on-device. Apple Private Cloud Compute is not enabled. Availability depends on your device, language, system settings, and model availability.

9. News and Third-Party Websites

Ca.dence retrieves news feeds from enabled publishers and may download article images from publishers or image-hosting services.

These services receive ordinary network request information, which may include your IP address, the requested address, request time, and technical request headers. Opening an article or external link is subject to that service’s privacy practices, including any cookies or analytics it uses.

Ca.dence may use the headlines you open or save to personalize news ordering on your device. This local reading history is not sent to a Jamsoft analytics service. Saved stories and news preferences may synchronize through your private iCloud account.

Your calendar, reminders, journal, and Health readings are not attached to publisher feed requests.

10. Widgets, Notifications, and Apple Watch

Ca.dence can display relevant information through widgets, notifications, Live Activities, focus alarms, Apple Watch, Siri, Shortcuts, Handoff, and system search.

Widgets and extensions use local shared storage. The iPhone app can send summaries and action updates to your paired Apple Watch, which can also access Calendar and Reminders with your permission.

Personal widget details and Spotlight indexing have separate settings. Depending on the features you enable, personal titles or other information may appear on your Lock Screen, watch, or other system surfaces.

You can manage these features through Ca.dence and Apple’s settings. Apple’s processing of Siri requests and other system services is separate from Ca.dence’s in-app voice transcription and is governed by Apple’s policies and your settings.

11. Purchases and Diagnostics

Apple processes App Store purchases and subscription payments. Ca.dence uses verified purchase information to determine access to paid features. We do not receive your payment card details through the App.

You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account. Deleting Ca.dence does not cancel a subscription.

Ca.dence does not include a remote product-analytics service. It uses Apple’s performance and diagnostic tools to record limited information locally, such as launch, hang, and crash counts. Apple may separately provide developers with app analytics or crash reports under Apple’s policies and your device sharing settings.

12. Your Choices, Exports, and Deletion

You can manage Calendar, Reminders, microphone, location, Health, and notification permissions through Apple’s settings. Within Ca.dence, you can manage iCloud sync, household sharing, news preferences, AI briefings, personal widget details, and search indexing.

Ca.dence provides readable and JSON exports of its daily-life records. Exports may contain personal notes, moods, people, activity history, and locally stored Health-derived information. They do not include the underlying Apple Calendar and Reminders databases.

Exported files are not encrypted by Ca.dence. Their protection and handling depend on where you save or share them.

You can edit or remove supported records in the App. Saved content and preferences are retained to provide the App’s features, while some caches and histories are limited or periodically pruned. Deletion information may be retained to synchronize removals, and offline changes may take time to reach other devices.

Turning off sync or uninstalling Ca.dence does not itself erase existing iCloud data, Calendar or Reminders records, household participants’ copies, exports, or backups. Removing the App can remove local data depending on the platform and removal method. Remaining copies must be managed through the relevant service, device, account, or storage provider.

13. Support Communications

If you contact Jamsoft, we receive your email address and any messages, attachments, or diagnostic information you choose to send. We use this information to respond and address your request.

Correspondence is handled through the email services used to send and receive it. Please include only information relevant to your request.

You may contact us to request deletion of information you have sent us, subject to applicable legal obligations.

14. Children’s Privacy

Ca.dence is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed to children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction.

We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through support communications or other direct submissions to Jamsoft. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us so we can address it.

Ca.dence does not require an account or verify users’ ages.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the App or our practices change. We will post the revised policy and update the “Last Updated” date.

If additional notice or consent is required by applicable law, we will provide it. Please review this policy periodically.
