PRIVACY POLICY FOR ART-EMIS

Jamsoft Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in ART-emis (the "App"), our iOS drawing, painting, and animation application available on the Apple App Store.
ART-emis is designed so that your artwork stays yours. We do not create user accounts, and we cannot see your gallery. The one exception is described in Section 4: when you choose to use a Cloud AI feature, the specific image and instruction you submit are sent to our AI provider so the result can be generated and returned to you.
1. NO ACCOUNTS AND NO PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTED
We do not create user accounts, and we do not collect, store, or have access to your personal information. The App does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or location, and it does not track you across apps or websites. There is no sign-in, and nothing in the App is tied to your identity.
2. YOUR ARTWORK AND HOW IT IS STORED
Everything you make in ART-emis — drawings, layers, paint strokes, animation frames, time-lapse recordings, reference images, and saved AI results — is stored in the App's own document storage on your device.
* iCloud sync. If you are signed in to iCloud, the App stores your gallery in its private iCloud container so your work syncs across your own Apple devices. If iCloud is unavailable or signed out, your work is stored locally on the device instead. This synchronization happens directly between your devices and Apple's servers, entirely within Apple's ecosystem. We do not have access to your iCloud account or to anything stored in it. Your iCloud data is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy, which you can review at apple.com/legal/privacy.
* App settings. Preferences such as appearance, tool settings, recent colors, your AI credit balance, and similar App state are stored locally on your device.
3. ON-DEVICE AI (APPLE INTELLIGENCE)
Some AI features run entirely on your device using Apple Intelligence (Apple's on-device Foundation Models) — for example, the motion planner that turns a written description into frame-by-frame animation directions. These features do not send your artwork or your text off the device, and neither we nor any third party receives their input or output. Availability depends on your device and on your Apple Intelligence settings.
4. CLOUD AI FEATURES (OPTIONAL, USER-INITIATED)
ART-emis offers optional Cloud AI features — for example enhancing a drawing, refining a previous result, generating in-between or next animation frames, and requesting a written critique of your canvas. These features only run when you deliberately start them.
* What is sent. When you start a Cloud AI action, the App sends the image you are working on (your flattened canvas, an animation frame, or a previously generated result) together with the style you selected and any instructions you typed, to Google's Gemini models through Firebase AI Logic (a Google service). The generated image or text is returned to your device and saved in your gallery on your device or in your private iCloud container.
* What is not sent. Your gallery as a whole is never uploaded. Only the specific image and instruction you submit for a given action are transmitted, and only at the moment you request it. If you never use a Cloud AI feature, no artwork ever leaves your device.
* Third-party processing. Google processes these requests to generate and return the result, and handles them in accordance with its own terms and privacy commitments. You can review Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy and Firebase's data handling information at firebase.google.com/support/privacy. We do not retain copies of your prompts or generated images on our own servers; we operate no server of our own that stores your artwork.
* Your responsibility for what you submit. Please do not include personal, confidential, or sensitive information in text instructions you give to Cloud AI features.
5. FIREBASE SERVICES USED BY THE APP
The App uses a limited set of Google Firebase services. It does not use Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Firebase Authentication, or any advertising SDK.
* Firebase AI Logic — routes the optional Cloud AI requests described in Section 4.
* Firebase App Check with Apple's App Attest — confirms that AI requests come from a genuine, unmodified copy of the App on a real Apple device, so our AI service is not abused by others. App Attest is an Apple technology; Apple's documentation states that it does not provide us with information that identifies you or your device.
* Firebase Remote Config — retrieves App configuration values, such as which AI model the App should use.
As an unavoidable part of any network connection, Google's servers receive standard technical information with these requests, such as your device's IP address and basic app and device details. We do not use this information to identify you, we do not combine it with your artwork, and we do not build user profiles.
6. PHOTOS, FILES, AND EXPORTS
* Importing. You can bring an image into ART-emis from your photo library or from the Files app to use as a reference or as a layer, and you can attach an audio file as a soundtrack for an animation. The App only receives the specific items you choose; it does not browse or read your photo library, and audio is analyzed on your device to draw the timeline waveform.
* Exporting. When you export or share artwork, an animation, or a time-lapse video, the App writes to your photo library or hands the file to the standard iOS share sheet at your request. Where the file goes from there is determined by you and by the app or service you choose to share it with.
The App requests photo library access only when you use these features, and only for the purpose described at the time of the request.
7. PURCHASES
ART-emis is offered with a free trial period, a one-time purchase that unlocks the App permanently, and optional consumable credit packs for Cloud AI generations. There are no subscriptions.
All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store using your Apple Account. We never see, collect, or have access to your payment card details, billing address, or Apple Account credentials. The App reads your purchase status from the App Store transaction record on your device to determine whether the App is unlocked and how many AI credits you hold; your credit balance is stored on your device.
8. NON-PERSONAL INFORMATION AND ANALYTICS
The App does not use analytics or attribution tools, and we do not collect usage patterns, behavioral data, device identifiers for tracking, or advertising identifiers. We do not sell or share any information for advertising purposes, and the App does not display advertising.
9. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction). Because we do not collect personal information of any kind, we have no way of determining the age of a user. The App is intended for a general audience. Parents and guardians should be aware that the Cloud AI features described in Section 4 send the submitted image and text to a third-party AI provider, and that generated results may not always be suitable for every audience.
10. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Apart from Apple's iCloud and App Store services and the Google Firebase services described in Sections 4 and 5, the App does not integrate with third-party services, and it does not share your data with any third party for advertising, analytics, or any similar purpose.
11. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
Because your work is stored on your device and in your own iCloud account, you remain in control of it. Deleting an artwork in the App removes it from the App's storage, and deleting the App removes its local data. Artwork stored in your iCloud container can be managed through your device's iCloud settings. We hold no copy of your artwork to delete, and there is no account for us to close.
12. SECURITY
Your artwork is protected by the security of your device and of your Apple account, including device passcode and iOS data protection. Network requests made by the App are encrypted in transit. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, but we design the App to keep the amount of information leaving your device to the minimum needed for the feature you asked for.
13. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
