We collect information you provide directly to us via Google Firebase Authentication:

  • Account Status: Subscription tier and payment status (processed securely via Stripe).

B. User-Generated Content

We store data you create within the app:

  • Cigar Logs: Brands, names, tasting notes, ratings, prices, and dates.

  • Images: Photos of cigars you upload (stored as digital data).

  • Humidor Inventory: Details of cigars currently in your possession.

  • Wishlist: Cigars you intend to purchase.

C. Location Data

  • Voluntary Location Services: We request access to your browser's geolocation to provide the "Lounge Locator" feature.

  • Check-ins & Journey Map: If you choose to "Check In" at a lounge or log a location with a smoke, that specific location data is stored to build your personal Journey Map and show "Who's Here" counts to other users.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Core Functionality: To provide the digital logbook, humidor management, and lounge finding services.

  • AI Features (Google Gemini): We use Google's Gemini AI to:

    • Analyze uploaded photos to identify cigars.

    • Generate tasting notes and drink pairing suggestions.

    • Note: Image data and text prompts are sent to Google's AI servers for processing but are not used by Google to train their models (subject to Google's enterprise data terms).

  • Community Features: If you choose to share logs to the "Community Hub," your cigar review, rating, and user name will be visible to other authenticated users.

  • Analytics: To provide you with personal insights (e.g., "Top Brands," "Smoking Frequency").

4. Third-Party Services

We utilize trusted third-party services to operate our app:

  • Google Firebase: For secure authentication, database storage (Firestore), and hosting.

  • Stripe: For secure payment processing. We do not store your credit card information on our servers.

  • Google Gemini API: For Artificial Intelligence features.

5. Data Security

We implement security measures including:

  • Encryption: Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest.

  • Access Controls: Strict database rules ensure you can only modify your own data.
