Privacy Policy

AJ-Manga is provided by JAMSoft Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the What Are We Doing app, its widget, and related shortcuts.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly through the app. This may include your creator name, project titles, story descriptions, chapter drafts, scripts, character profiles, continuity notes, imported reference photos, generated images, page layouts, export files, and other content you choose to create or store in AJ-Manga.

We also collect app settings and preference data, such as theme choices, selected AI model settings, reader preferences, generation usage counters, and notification settings.

If you use the app's purchase features, we receive transaction and entitlement information needed to unlock subscriptions, credits, and purchased add-ons. This may include product identifiers, purchase status, renewal or expiration dates, and ownership status for purchased features. Payment card and billing details are handled by Apple, not by us.

When you use AJ-Manga, certain technical information may also be processed by Apple, Google, Firebase, or other platform providers as needed to operate the app and its connected services. This may include device and app identifiers, IP address, device integrity or attestation signals, service request metadata, and similar technical data.

AJ-Manga does not currently require you to create a separate AJ-Manga account.

How We Use Information

We use information to operate, maintain, and improve AJ-Manga; save and sync your projects and settings; generate manga drafts and artwork you request; validate purchases and manage feature access; provide optional notifications; export and share your content when you choose to do so; secure the app and prevent abuse; and comply with legal obligations.

AI Features

If you use AI-powered features, relevant inputs may be sent to third-party AI services to generate the requested output. Depending on the feature you use, this may include prompts, project descriptions, story text, chapter drafts, character descriptions, reference images, imported photos, and related creative context.

AJ-Manga currently uses Google's Gemini models through Firebase AI Logic for features such as story drafting, manga image generation, cover generation, and photo-to-manga reference conversion. We use those inputs to provide the AI feature you requested.

Because AI features involve sending content to third-party providers, you should avoid submitting highly sensitive personal information or images unless you are comfortable doing so.

Device Storage and iCloud Sync

Most AJ-Manga content is stored on your device. If iCloud is available and enabled on your Apple account, AJ-Manga may sync project data, settings, and imported image assets through Apple's iCloud and CloudKit services so your content is available across your Apple devices.

If you do not use iCloud, your content generally remains local to your device, except when you choose to use AI features, make purchases, or otherwise interact with third-party platform services.

Photos, Imports, and Sharing

If you grant photo or file access, AJ-Manga can import images you select from Apple Photos, Files, or the iOS share sheet. Imported images may be stored in the app's shared image library and associated with one or more projects.

If you export or share content from AJ-Manga, the files are sent to the destination or app you choose. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party apps, websites, cloud drives, messaging tools, or other destinations you select.

Purchases

Subscriptions, credits, and in-app purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and StoreKit. We do not receive your full payment card number or full billing information. We receive only the transaction and entitlement data needed to confirm purchases, restore purchases, and unlock paid features.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, AJ-Manga may send notifications to your device about generation status and related app activity. Notification permission is optional and can be changed at any time in your device settings.

Third-Party Services

We may share information with service providers only as needed to operate AJ-Manga. These providers currently include:

Apple, for App Store purchases, iCloud/CloudKit sync, device platform services, and notification infrastructure.

Google and Firebase, for AI generation, remote configuration, and app security features such as App Check.

These providers may process information under their own privacy terms and policies.

Advertising and Sale of Data

AJ-Manga does not currently use third-party advertising SDKs in the app. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide AJ-Manga and the features you use. Content stored locally remains until you delete it, remove the app, or it is otherwise removed through normal device behavior. Content synced through iCloud may remain in your iCloud account, backups, or Apple's systems in accordance with Apple's retention practices. Purchase records may be retained as needed for entitlement management, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. However, no app, storage system, or internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

AJ-Manga is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us at [Contact Email] so we can review and address the issue.

Your Choices and Rights

You can manage or delete content inside the app, disable iCloud, deny photo access, turn off notifications, and choose not to use AI features.

Depending on where you live, you may also have legal rights regarding your personal information, such as rights to access, correct, delete, or request information about how your data is handled. In many cases, because AJ-Manga stores content on your device or in your personal iCloud account, you may be able to manage that data directly through the app or your Apple account settings.

International Processing

If you use AJ-Manga, your information may be processed in countries other than your own by Apple, Google, Firebase, and other service providers involved in operating the app. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated version here and revise the Effective Date above.
